Koehler Lighting Products Warranty

Koehler Lighting Products warrants that the Products are free from defects in materials and workmanship on the date of manufacture by Koehler. If a defect is detected no later than thirty (30) days after date of shipment, written notice must be sent to Koehler in reasonable detail from distributor. (In the case of lead-acid batteries, during the twenty (20) month period from the date of manufacture.) With respect to each item that Koehler believes may be defective, and at the sole option of Koehler, Koehler will repair or replace such item. This is stated under the stipulation that the distributor has complied with the provisions of the warranty and all Koehler Lighting Products Policies relating thereto. The Warranty shall not apply to any item that has been altered, repaired or attempted to be repaired by any other party other than Koehler. Additionally, the Warranty shall not apply when such alleged defect is due to improper maintenance, abuse or misuse. Koehler Lighting Products shall have no liability for (a) special, consequential or incidental damages to any party and (b) labor cost, freight cost or any other costs or charges.

Lead acid batteries that have not been charged or watered properly while in the distributors' or customer's possession will not be covered under the Warranty. This is an "improper maintenance, abuse or misuse" issue. The customers must be made aware of the proper maintenance guidelines that are outlined in the Koehler Wheat® 2003 Edition Maintenance Instruction Manual. In the case of the Wheat LI-16 Batteries, Koehler guarantees for 12-months that the product will adequately perform to MSHA guidelines.

Koehler Lighting Products depends on its distributors to (a) promote the sale and use thereof; (b) serve customers and prospective customers thereof; and (c) otherwise do all things reasonably necessary or desirable to establish and maintain a growing market and maximum coverage and distribution therefor.
